Re: Information for the Upcoming Election

Anyone interested in checking their voter registration status can go to The site allows a person to register to vote, check voting status, find your polling location, and view who’s on the ballot.

The site has a drop down option that allows a voter to select democrat or republican to find which candidate is on the ballot. You can also find information on what identification you will need on Election Day. Simply, enter your information to find your polling location or voting status, and then look for the hyperlink "What Do I Need to Vote at the Polls".

For additional information, contact Tabatha Eblen at the Clerk’s Office, 812-265-7614

Re: Primary Election Party Affiliation

The Jefferson County Voter Registration Office has received several phone calls regarding party affiliation. An Indiana registered voter is not registered to vote as a Republican or Democrat. All registered voters have the option to pull a Democrat or Republican ballot in the Primary Election no matter what was voted in previous elections.

If you have any further questions regarding this matter, please contact the Voter Registration Office at 812-265-8926. For the Clerk's Office, please call 812-265-8922
