The Jefferson County Health Department supports Jefferson County’s economic prosperity and quality of life by promoting, protecting and providing for the health of Jefferson County residents.
Free STD testing on Wednesdays 1pm – 3:30pm by appointment.
Screenings available are HIV, Hep C, Gonorrhea, and Chlamydia.

Jefferson County Health Department has taken an active role in emergency preparedness. Activities have included collaborating with other local health departments to develop emergency plans, coordinating emergency response agencies, as well as attending in-service training.
